James Grigg graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1978 and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1981. James joined the corporate finance department of SG Warburg (now UBS Investment Bank) in London in 1986, becoming a Managing Director in 2000. His experience at UBS Investment Bank included advising companies, principally in the UK, Europe and USA, on a wide range of M&A and financing activities. Since late 2002, when he left UBS Investment Bank, James has been working as a consultant, advising primarily developing companies, assisting with financial management, capital raising and business and corporate development.
Juan Pasten is a mining engineer with over 40 years experience. Juan has been involved in all aspects of the industry, including exploration and evaluation of new mining ventures, engineering and operating mining facilities and the processing of mineral ores to produce products to be sold in global markets. For a large part of his career, Juan worked for Outokumpu (now Outotec) where his roles included Engineering Manager at Zaldivar and Technical Manager for Outokumpu Chile. In recent years, he has worked as a consultant with a number of smaller mining companies before joining Copper Bay as General Manager in Chile in 2010.
Nick Shirley has over 17 years of experience in the fields of environmental sciences, social responsibility and hydrogeology gained predominately in the international overseas mining industry in Central Asia, the Former Soviet Union and West Africa. Nick has formerly worked for the Environment Agency in the United Kingdom, Avocet Mining, Society De la Mine de Fer de Guinea (SMFG – Newmont/BHP joint venture) and Orsu Metals. Nick holds and a BSc in Environmental Sciences and a MSc in Hydrogeology from the University of East Anglia.
Nick is employed with Central Asia Metals as Corporate Social Responsibility Director.
